Big Band Swing Drums play a classic swing pattern while the bass player “walks” 4 to a bar:  In big band arrangements, there are lots of rhythmic ideas played by sections of the band, sometimes in rhythmic unison, but often featuring contrasting block harmony ideas played simultaneously.
